About us

National Safety Training Center is a Public Safety Training Center catering to the needs of First Responders and Enlightened Citizens. We provide courses ranging from Basic First Aid and CPR, Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers, ACLS/PALS to Lifeguarding / WSI and Emergency Medical Courses. Our instructors are experienced operators with significant experience in their instructional areas. Courses can be delivered at YOUR location or one of our facilities throughout the US.

We began in 2004 as Mine Brook Search & Rescue, Inc. which was formed to establish a dedicated water rescue capability in Somerset County NJ.  The operations were funded by our staff teaching First Aid and CPR classes.  As our training center began to grow rapidly, we split it off into a wholly owned subsidiary known as Elite Tactical Academy.  We grew a national following teaching classes for many of the Fortune 100 companies in addition to our own open enrollment classes.  Now, in 2024 we transitioned from Elite Tactical Academy to having all our safety classes in a separate not for profit corporation - National Safety Training Center, Inc. Our firearms and self defense training will continue to be branded as Elite Tactical Academy, a separate corporation and website.

  We have instructors all throughout the Northeast USA and have recently expanded down the east coast into VA, SC and FL.  We are actively looking for more instructors along the east coast and, eventually moving west as well.  Instructors who are interested in joining our Training Center, should send an email with their instructor credentials and a resume to dkotz@nstc.net 

National Safety Training Center teaches courses for the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Health & Safety Institute, National Safety Council, National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), and many more!
